Mr. and Mrs.

My husband and I are in Mexico this week. His brother is getting married on the beach this afternoon. What a great reason to go on vacation with a group of family and friends. Anyway, before we left for vacation I scheduled my blog posts. So today I have a wedding card to share with you featuring stamps from Paper Smooches.

Thanks so much for stopping. I hope your week is off to a great start.

Time to get back to blogging

Hello all.

I can't believe I only posted twice in 2014. I continued to create but sadly I didn't take the time to photograph and blog about my cards. We'll see if I'm able to do better in 2015.

Today I have a card that uses the Life's Direction set from My Favorite Things and papers from My Mind's Eye.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hopefully I will "see" you again soon.

Today I have a couple more Christmas cards to share with you. It's hard to believe there are only eight more days until Christmas.

For these cards I heat embossed the tree from Papertrey Ink and colored it with Copics. I also heat embossed the sentiment and then added some twine and sequins to finish them off.

Thanks so much for stopping. Hope you're having a magical Monday. Happy Stamping!

Friends with Flair

Today I'd like to share a card using the Moments in Blooom set from Unity for the Unity Friends with Flair. Every Friday, Unity asks you to link up your Unity creations and I'm happy to be able to participate this week.

I stamped the ledger stamp with Distress Ink for the background and then I colored the flower stamp with Stampin Up markers to stamp. I also added a little white gel pen accents to the flowers after I stamped them. The designer paper strip is from My Mind's Eye, button from PTI and twine from May Arts.

Thanks so much for stopping. I hope you're having a fabulous Friday. Happy Stamping!

Happy Day

Today I have a birthday card to share with you. This card was inspired by Debbie Olson's card found on her blog Thinking and Inking here. I used papers from the Indie Chic - Saffron collection by My Mind's Eye and some vintage sheet music. I die cut the sheet music with a Labels 4 die from Spellbinders. The sentiment panel is from Papertrey Ink's Happy Day set and matching die. I used Memento Lilac Posies and Elderberry inks for the sentiment. I also added some stitching, sequins, twine and a little flower to the bottom of the sentiment.
Here's a closer look at the details.
Thanks so much for stopping. I hope you're having a great day. Happy Stamping!

Hey Stud

Unity Stamp Co is running a Happy Hour sale all weekend so I thought I would share a card today using one of the stamps that is on sale. Details for the sale can be found on their site.

I love this stamp from Unity and it's on SALE right now for $3 (reg $6.99). Here's the link - Hey Stud {Itty Bitty}  if you're interested.

I paired the stamped image with paper from My Mind's Eye Indie Chic - Nutmeg - Family - Zig zag. I stamped the image on vintage cream cardstock from PTI using Stampin Up Soft Suede ink. I also added a mat of Soft Suede cardstock to the card base. The button is from October Afternoon and the twine is from May Arts. Just a simple masculine card.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you're having a fantastic Friday. Happy Stamping!

Moxie Fab World Challenge: I've a Notion

Today I have a card to share that was inspired by the photo below. The photo was posted as the Tuesday Trigger on the Moxie Fab World blog. You can find all the details on the challenge there.

What I loved about this photo were all the different types of trims (satin, lace, rick rack, floss, cord) so I worked several trims into my card. I went with floss on the tag and some vintage crocheted trim, a satin pleated ribbon and seam binding across the front of the card. I also kept with the soft color palette for my card.
The papers are from My Mind's Eye In Bloom 6x6 pad and the images are from Paper Smooches Reflections set. Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday. Happy Stamping!

Another Valentine's Day Card

I have another Valentine's Day card to share with you today. This one uses are a variety of papers from My Mind's Eye, heart dies from Clear and Simple Stamps, a circle Nestabilities die, pink sorbet twine from The Twinery and a sentiment stamp from Paper Smooches Word Salad set.

For the largest heart, I ran it through my paper crimper after die cutting it. To make the sentiment flag I just cut a strip, stamped the sentiment, added a gemstone and then trimmed the end with the corner of a square punch.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday. Happy Stamping!

Masculine Birthday

Just a quick post today to share a simple masculine birthday card. The bear is from an old retired Stampin Up set and the happy birthday sentiment is from Paper Smooches. The patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye. I added a strip of scalloped black cardstock and some twine to give it a little detail but keep it manly.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you're having a great day. Happy Stamping!

XOXO

Today's card uses papers from My Mind's Eye Love Me 6x6 pad. The grey strip is actually two strips of washi tape under the chevron patterned paper strip. For the heart, I used the largest die from the Clear and Simple Stamps heart dies and then ran it through my paper crimper to give it the corrugated look. I also swiped it with a ColorBox Frost white pigment ink pad to tone down the kraft cardstock. The flower is made from the My Favorite Things mini rolled rose die. I cut the paper flag and repeatedly stamped the xo stamp from Paper Smooches Chubby Chums. Finally I added a bow with Stone twine from The Twinery.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you're having a fabulous Friday. Happy Stamping!

Good Gab Love

Today's card uses the Love Me papers from My Mind's Eye. I stamped the LOVE sentiment from Paper Smooches Good Gab set on a tag, colored the heart with a Copic and then added diamond glitter from AMuse Studio by using a Quickie Glue pen. The stripes on the bottom of the tag are washi tape.

I went with a black card base to tie in the black polka dot washi tape and ribbon. I think this will be a fun Valentine's Day card to send out.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday. Happy Stamping!

Birthday Buttons

How about another birthday card today? This one has a little bit of everything. Papers are from the My Mind's Eye - Stella and Ruby - Gertie collection. The button card is a stamp from Unity Stamp Co and the birthday sentiment is from Paper Smooches. The twine is from May Arts and the lace trim is from Hero Arts. The heart dies are from Lil' Inker Designs and the button dies are from My Favorite Things. I love how they all come together on this card.
Here's a close up of the button card with the die cuts.

I'm linking this card to the Unity Friends with Flair challenge. You can find that post here.

Happy Birthday

My brother is celebrating his birthday today. It's a milestone birthday (50th) but I decided to leave his age off of the card. I went with a fishing theme and used the Fish More stamps and dies from W Plus 9. The papers are from My Mind's Eye and the die cut is from Nestabilities Labels 3.
The inside of the card was finished off with some designer paper and stamping. The lures were stamped on the woodgrain strip and then a birthday sentiment was added for the finishing touch. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you're having a great week. Happy Stamping!
