More Nature's Silhouettes

I pulled out my Kim Hughes Nature's Silhouettes set from Cornish Heritage Farms and put this card together. The base of the card is some brown cardstock from my lss. The patterned background paper is from My Mind's Eye. The two shades of pink paper and the brown strip are from bazzill. I can't remember now what ink I used for the friend and flower but the flowers also have gold pearlized dimensional paint added to the centers for some extra detail. I also added some stitching to the layers for more detail then added the ribbon to the bottom of the flower panel and mounted it with dimensionals. Thanks again for stopping by to see my latest creation.

Rubbernecker Masking Challenge

Here's my card for this weeks Rubbernecker Blogger Challenge RBC08. The challenge is to make a card using any type of Masking Technique. See Jeanne's blog (Inky Paws) for all of the details. I pulled out my Beach Chair with Umbrella stamp from the Rubbernecker Beach Collection and stamped it with Palette hybrid black then masked both the chair and umbrella and created the sand, sea and sky background. I removed the masks and colored the chair and umbrella with copics then used my nestabilities and cuttlebug to cut it out. I finally have figured out the right combination to get my nestabilities to emboss in my cuttlebug. Just a simple bright summery card. The only thing missing is a nice cool drink and a good book.
I hope you are all having a great week! Thanks for stopping.

Stylish Swiss Dots

I love the Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder. I stamped the shirt from the Diva Style Closet set from Clear and Simple stamps and then covered each shirt with prisma ultrafine glitter. I find the easiest way to adhere the glitter is to cover the image with stickles (something clear like crystal) and then sprinkle the glitter over the wet stickles. Works great! Once they were dry I cut out the shirts and decided to mount them on the swiss dot background. I didn't want the background to overpower the glittery shirts so I thought the swiss dots would be perfect. It gives it some nice texture but doesn't detract from the shirts. As always thanks for stopping!

Pink Petticoat

Just a quick post about Pink Petticoat. Pink Petticoat offers adorable images for download. They are designs you can print on your printer at home and use on your cards. Here are some cards I made with images I purchased and downloaded from their site.

Aren't these images cute?!

I colored each of them with copics and used a variety of scraps of papers, nestabilities and ultrafine prisma glitter. Thanks for stopping.

The Good Life

Can't you just picture a nice summer afternoon spent gazing at the clouds in the sky?! The horse stamp is from PSX and stamped in timber brown stazon on very vanilla and colored with Copics. The edge of the panel is sponged with peeled paint distress ink. The mats are chocolate, cool caribbean and patterned paper from My Mind's Eye. I can't remember what company the saying is from. Just a simple Saturday card to share. Thanks for stopping!

Polymer is Flexible and Fabulous

I'm having a great time using the Diva Style Closet set from Clear and Simple Stamps punched circles with . For this card I stamped the purses with colorbox dark brown chalk ink and then added a "button" to each one with my red twinklette marker. These were stamped on recycled paper from a writing set I picked up on clearance a few years back. The red mat is unmarked cardstock from my local scrapbook store. The shirt was stamped in colorbox chalk warm red on the same paper and then cut out and layered onto a thin mat of chocolate. I punched out the circle and mounted the shirt to the center then pulled out the trendsetter word stamp and curved it when placing it on my acrylic block. That's one of the great things about clear polymer stamps is that they are flexible! By curving the stamp on my block I was able to use it as a border on the circle. It was also easy to see where to stamp the border since the stamps are clear. 3 cheers for clear polymer stamps!!! To finish off the card I added a couple of rows of piercing and mounted the Marvy circle punches with dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are all having a wonderful week!
