Basketball Birthday

Sorry for my lack of posts last week but I do have a card to share today. It's the card I gave to my nephew at his birthday party last night. He just finished basketball camp so I thought a basketball card would be appropriate. I used Papertrey Ink's Have a Ball set for the basketballs and Faux Ribbon to create the striped background on the navy panel. To create the grid pattern on the Co'ordinations piece I used my scorpal and then sanded the piece to try and bring out the grid details. I also used my scorpal to create the lines on the cream piece, distressed the edges and added some Vintage Photo Distress Ink with a sponge. The sentiment is a rub-on from Deja Views.

I hope your week is off to a great start. Thanks so much for stopping. Happy Stamping!

Graduation Party

My nephews graduation party is this afternoon and I said I would bring bars but I didn't get to them until this morning. So far, I have one pan cooling on the counter and a second pan in the oven. Next up is lemon bars but I thought I would take a break and work on my blog post first since the party isn't until 2.

In honor of Aaron's graduation, I thought I would post a couple more graduation cards that I made. The cap on the first card is from the congradulations set by A Muse Studio and the rest of the stamps are from Papertrey Ink.

Thanks so much for stopping. Hope you're having a wonderful Saturday. Happy Stamping!

Happy Anniversary

Today my husband Jerry and I will celebrate our 11th Wedding Anniversary. Our wedding was a small ceremony at the family cabin surrounded by close friends and family. It's been a great 11 years and I hope we have many more wonderful years ahead!

Here's the card I made for him. I know it's flowery and frilly but I think he'll be ok with that considering it's an anniversary card. I used Basic Grey Sulty papers with a Kraft card base. The stamps and ink are from A Muse Studio, Happy Anniversary is from the Essential Sentiments set and stamped with Slate ink and the LOVE was created using the Fancy Alphabet clear set stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa. I also added some KaiserCraft pearls, misc flowers and a Papertrey Ink felt border for the finishing touches.

We're busy today and tomorrow so the anniversary dinner may get rolled into the father's day celebrations which is fine with me. I think we'll have to visit our favorite local Thai restaurant to celebrate.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you all had a wonderful week. Happy Stamping!

Dress Form and Blush

Today I have a couple more cards using Basic Grey Blush papers to share with you. I also used Papertrey's Signature Series: Dress Form stamp set and die for today's cards. For the first card I added some hand dyed seam binding and small rick rack along with a row of buttons to complete the seamstress feel.

I kept the embellishments to a minimum on the second card adding just a simple bow of seam binding with a button center. I'm really pleased with how different these cards look even though the same basic supplies were used for both.
Thanks so much for stopping. I hope you're having a wonderful week. Happy Stamping!

Colorful Butterflies

I recently challenged myself to use up some paper that I've had for years so I started with a 6x6 pad of Basic Grey Blush papers. I was able to make over 20 cards with the papers that were left in that pad. Here are two of the cards made with papers from that pad. I paired my Blush paper scraps with some graph paper that I picked up at a garage sale. The scraps were great for using with my Amuse Studio Butterfly dies.

I really do love this paper collection. Hopefully you do too 'cause you'll be seeing several more posts using Basic Grey Blush papers. :)

Thanks for stopping by. Happy Stamping!

Blogger Issues Resolved (I hope)

I'm not sure if anyone is still out there considering how long it's been since my last post but I've been having issues with Blogger. We've not been on friendly terms since I had to convert my email to google services. After many hours and frustrated changes, I was able to get in today! YEAH!

So, in case anyone is still waiting for posts from me let's go ahead and get to some crafty creations. How about some more cards created with Anna Wight's Whipper Snapper Garden Fresh stamp set that I haven't posted photos of yet.

For the first card I stamped the strawberry image repeatedly on the rustic cream cardstock to create the background then sewed some circle punches of patterned paper to the bottom. I used Papertrey Ink's spiral notebook page die with strips of patterned paper sewed on to attach my focal image. . . the cute little jar from the set. The lid is paper pieced and the rest of the image is colored with copics plus a little white gel pen for the dots on the scalloped border of the label. The kraft and rustic cream cardstock is from Papertrey and the patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye.

For this card I used the adorable little jar from Garden Fresh again and paired it with the cute bee from the Little Critters set. The papers are from A Muse Studio and the images are colored with Copics.

Thanks so much for stopping by (if in fact anyone does) since it's been so long.  I hope you're having a wonderful week. I'll be back with more cards if Blogger lets me in again.

Happy Stamping!
