Happy Friday and thanks for stopping by to see what I have to share today. My card today was inspired by this one that Jennifer Shults posted on the Verve Stamps blog earlier this week.

Here's Jennifer's card that I used for my inspiration.

And here's my card. I loved all the layers that she had along with the chalkboard look.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you have a great weekend. Happy Stamping!

Birthday Boys

A friend requested birthday cards for her grandsons and mentioned that one plays lacrosse, basketball and football and the other plays baseball, basketball and football. So here's what I came up with.

I covered the card bases in paper from October Afternoon. The sentiment is from Hero Arts and the balls are from Papertrey Ink's Have a Ball set. The jersey is an old set from CTMH.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday. Happy Stamping!

Hey Stud

Unity Stamp Co is running a Happy Hour sale all weekend so I thought I would share a card today using one of the stamps that is on sale. Details for the sale can be found on their site.

I love this stamp from Unity and it's on SALE right now for $3 (reg $6.99). Here's the link - Hey Stud {Itty Bitty}  if you're interested.

I paired the stamped image with paper from My Mind's Eye Indie Chic - Nutmeg - Family - Zig zag. I stamped the image on vintage cream cardstock from PTI using Stampin Up Soft Suede ink. I also added a mat of Soft Suede cardstock to the card base. The button is from October Afternoon and the twine is from May Arts. Just a simple masculine card.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you're having a fantastic Friday. Happy Stamping!

Masculine Birthday

Just a quick post today to share a simple masculine birthday card. The bear is from an old retired Stampin Up set and the happy birthday sentiment is from Paper Smooches. The patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye. I added a strip of scalloped black cardstock and some twine to give it a little detail but keep it manly.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you're having a great day. Happy Stamping!

Happy Birthday

My brother is celebrating his birthday today. It's a milestone birthday (50th) but I decided to leave his age off of the card. I went with a fishing theme and used the Fish More stamps and dies from W Plus 9. The papers are from My Mind's Eye and the die cut is from Nestabilities Labels 3.
The inside of the card was finished off with some designer paper and stamping. The lures were stamped on the woodgrain strip and then a birthday sentiment was added for the finishing touch. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you're having a great week. Happy Stamping!

Are you ready for Father's Day?

Have you made your Father's Day cards yet? Here is the card that I made for my Dad.

The card base is kraft with designer papers from the 7 gypsies Maison Variety Pack. The fish stamp is from Eureka Stamps but I looked on the website and I don't see it so it may not be available any longer. The Dad stamp on the front is from Clear and Simple Stamps Hero Dad set.

I even stamped on the inside of the card. I used A Muse Studio Slate ink to stamp the fish image on the inside of the card and then I added the father's day sentiment from A Muse Studio's Essential Sentiments set. I'm entering this card in the Masculine Card Blog Challenge for CutCardStock.com.

Thanks so much for stopping. I hope you're having a terrific Tuesday. Happy Stamping!

Basketball Birthday

Sorry for my lack of posts last week but I do have a card to share today. It's the card I gave to my nephew at his birthday party last night. He just finished basketball camp so I thought a basketball card would be appropriate. I used Papertrey Ink's Have a Ball set for the basketballs and Faux Ribbon to create the striped background on the navy panel. To create the grid pattern on the Co'ordinations piece I used my scorpal and then sanded the piece to try and bring out the grid details. I also used my scorpal to create the lines on the cream piece, distressed the edges and added some Vintage Photo Distress Ink with a sponge. The sentiment is a rub-on from Deja Views.

I hope your week is off to a great start. Thanks so much for stopping. Happy Stamping!

Happy Birthday Aaron

Just a quick post to share the birthday card I made for my nephew. He's 18 today and we all got together last night to celebrate. I used a birthday set from Papertrey Ink for the background on the top and the argyle background set also from Papertrey for the bottom panel. The tree and shack images are from a Recollections set that was half price at Michaels. I added some twine and a button for the finishing touches.

When I saw the stamp set it made me think of my Dad's shack which is a favorite place of my nephews so I thought it would be fitting. Here's a picture of the shack . . .

Thanks so much for stopping. I hope you're having a wonderful Monday and enjoying spring. We have a blizzard warning for tomorrow so I guess spring hasn't hit northern Minnesota just yet. :)

Papertrey Ink Anniversary Celebration Take 2

Papertrey Ink is celebrating their 3rd Anniversary and as part of the celebration Nichole asked each of her designers to create a birthday graphic that they offered as a free download. For a chance to win a collection of stamp sets people were asked to create a card using the designs. Here's one of the cards I had a chance to make for the challenge.

This card uses a graphic designed by Tiffany Pastor. Check out her blog here.

'Lil Poppets from DigiStamp Boutique

Love the 'Lil Poppets characters from DigiStamp Boutique. They were designed after the children of fellow Design Team member Poppet (Paula Morfitt). I decided to use the "T.J - take that" image for today's card. The greeting was created on my computer.

For the Men in your Lives

Today I have a couple of masculine cards to share. The first card uses the Jim playing golf image from DigiStamp Boutique and the second card uses the DIY Jim image. DigiStamp Boutique offers a whole series of Jim images available here and here.

My husband is a golfer so this image was perfect for his birthday card. The card base is Kraft with a mat of Bo Bunny polka dot paper and a strip of Kraft. The image was colored with Copics and matted with a nice warm brown to match the polka dots.

For the second card I pulled out a sheet of Elsie double sided paper. Instead of stamping a greeting I used my Dymo label maker to create one. The edges of the lined panel were sponged with Palette Hybrid New Canvas ink. The image was colored with copics and matted on black.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you are all having a wonderful week!
