Friendly Little Challenge

Today I have some cards to share with you that use the My Mind's Eye - Lost and Found 2 - Blush 6x6 collection. My friend, Kim Howard and I challenged each other to make some cards using that collection since we both happened to have it in our collection of 6x6 pads.

I ended up using up my paper pad and making over 20 cards so today I will share five of the cards with you. All of these cards have sentiments from Paper Smooches.

For the first card, I stamped the LOVE sentiment from Paper Smooches Good Gab set and colored the letter with a Copic. I paper pieced the heart. The flowers were punched with an EK Success punch and paper from the Blush collection. I added Queen & Co pearls to the center.

I added several flowers to this card and then added the label piece which was cut out from another piece of paper from the collection. I stamped the LOVE sentiment from Paper Smooches Word Salad set and colored it with a Copic. For the finish touch I tied some linen thread around the card.

Card three has an embossed sentiment, some pearls, a piece of paper doily and die cut hearts. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Simply Said set and the hearts are die cuts from Clear and Simple Stamps.

I'm always in need of belated birthday cards. Despite the fact that I make cards all the time, I'm not very good about getting them in the mail so I thought I would add one to my collection of cards. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Word Salad set. I added more of the same flowers like on the first card and some burlap twine from May Arts.

Finally, I made a very simple congratulations card to have on hand. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Simply Said set. I added more May Arts burlap string, some punched flowers and a scallop border that was a die cut from AMuseStudios.

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my challenge cards. Don't forget to check out Kim's blog now. I can't wait to see what she came up with for the challenge.

Happy Stamping!

Are you ready for Father's Day?

Have you made your Father's Day cards yet? Here is the card that I made for my Dad.

The card base is kraft with designer papers from the 7 gypsies Maison Variety Pack. The fish stamp is from Eureka Stamps but I looked on the website and I don't see it so it may not be available any longer. The Dad stamp on the front is from Clear and Simple Stamps Hero Dad set.

I even stamped on the inside of the card. I used A Muse Studio Slate ink to stamp the fish image on the inside of the card and then I added the father's day sentiment from A Muse Studio's Essential Sentiments set. I'm entering this card in the Masculine Card Blog Challenge for CutCardStock.com.

Thanks so much for stopping. I hope you're having a terrific Tuesday. Happy Stamping!

So Proud

Yesterday I shared one of the graduation cards I made and today I have two more that I put together. I used the grad cap from Papertrey Ink's For the Graduate set, the "so incredibly proud of you" is a partially inked sentiment from Papertrey Ink's Big & Bold Wishes set, and the GRAD is from AMuse Studio's retired Fancy Alphabet set.

Graduation

I had a request from a friend for a graduation card so I put together a couple of cards for her to pick from. For this card I used a sentiment from AMuse Studio and the cap from Papertrey Ink. I like the simplicity of this one. I'll be back tomorrow with more grad cards to share.

CSS Fly Away

Today I have my version of a clean and simple card to share. I love how the white clouds pop against the light teals and the splash of orange. I also think it helps highlight the plane and clouds by using the kraft card base.

This card features the Fly Away mini stamp set from Papertrey Ink, cloud dies also from Papertrey and the Textile Rectangle die from My Favorite Things. I also added the dot background stamp from AMuse Studio on the stitched panel with versamark ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy Stamping!

Quiet Essence

Today I have two cards to share with you that use the Quiet Essence set from Unity Stamp Company. The first card is a clean and simple style using a pink card base from AMuse Studio cardstock and some patterned paper from My Mind's Eye. The flower was stamped on white cardstock with Versamark, heat embossed with white embossing powder and colored with Copics. The sentiment is from an older retired set from Stampin' Up.

The second card has the same flower and My Mind's Eye patterned papers but I used kraft for the card base and added some burlap, machine stitching, DMC floss and a button. Also, the sentiment is from a limited edition set by Clear and Simple Stamps and was stamped on a flag and tucked under the button.

I'm really happy with how both versions turned out. It's fun to try different styles using similar products.

Thanks so much for stopping. I hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday. Happy Stamping!

Canvas Butterfly Birthday

Today's card is for one of my girlfriends. Her birthday was yesterday and to celebrate we went to the Rick Springfield concert this past weekend. We even dragged our husbands along. Here we are living the 80's dream, heading off to dinner and the concert. I've never been a big Rick Springfield fan but it was a very fun night.

Ok, on to the card. I used one of the new 6x6 pads from My Mind's Eye (Follow Your Heart - Be Amazing) for the sentiment panel, mat and paper flower. I added a doily, a die cut leaf and a canvas butterfly. I die cut the butterfly using canvas and the A Muse Studio butterfly die and then I stamped with the ColorBox Chalk dark brown ink and the musical note background stamp from Unity. I also sponged a little Walnut Stain Distress Ink on the butterfly and then added a pearl pin to the center.

Thanks so much for stopping. I hope you're having a terrific Tuesday. Happy Stamping!

Welcome, Little One

Sorry for my lack of posts the last couple of weeks. I was having a bit of a creative slump but I think I'm over it now. I made a couple of cards this past weekend and I put this one together this morning before work. I used papers from My Mind's Eye 6x6 Lost and Found Breeze collection. Along with some Rustic Cream cardstock from Papertrey Ink. The die cut is Papertrey Ink Mat Stack 3, the sentiment is from A Muse Studio, and the onesie image is from There She Goes.

I inked the edges of the die cut with Ranger Distress Walnut Stain and the onesies and sentiment are stamped with Colorbox Chalk inks. For the finishing touches I added a ribbon bow with Hug Snug Seam binding and a large button tied on with May Arts burlap twine.

Thanks so much for stopping. I hope your week is off to a good start. Happy Stamping!

Happy Valentine's Day

I don't have a card to share today but I have a photo of some of my valentine decorations and the canvas treat holder that I sewed for my daughter. I used pinking shears to cut out the heart shape and sewed a pocked on the front then embellished it with an assortment of flowers and hearts made from felt and ribbon. The sentiment flag is a stamp from A Muse Studio.

Wishing you all a Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you are able to spend it with those you love. Happy Stamping/Crafting!

Stamp of the Week #4

Today's card uses the fun bicycle stamp from Unity's Stamp of the Week #4. I paired it with some of the papers from the Echo Parks Times and Seasons collection. I used the large scallop die from A Muse Studio to create my border and also added a button for fun.

I think this stamp will see a lot of ink at my house. I'm really enjoying the Stamp of the Week program and getting a little package each week. Sometimes when you place an order and get several sets at one time it feels kind of overwhelming but when you just get one at a time you can just focus on that one stamp. It seems to be working well for me.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope your week is wrapping up nicely. Happy Stamping!

Cupcake Cards

Today I have a couple of cupcake cards to share with you. I got the template for the cupcake from Paper Smooches. For the first one I used papers from Authentique and added a button using the My Favorite Things Button die and some May Arts Burlap string. The second one uses papers from the Basic Grey Sweet Threads line and has butterfly dies from A Muse Studio and a small rolled rose from My Favorite Things mini rolled rose die.

Thanks so much for stopping. I hope you're having a terrific Tuesday. Happy Stamping!

You Are Beautiful

Today I have another card featuring the Celebrating You set from The Craft's Meow and papers from October Afternoon's Farmhouse collection. For the sentiment panel I used the Papertrey Ink Mat Stack #3 die. The sentiment and flowers were stamped with A Muse Studio slate ink and the flowers were fussy cut and mounted with foam dimensionals. I also added some lemondrop twine from The Twinery and a doily I picked up at an estate sale.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy Stamping!

I Love You

Today's cards feature the Just My Type set from A Muse Studio and papers from My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose collection. I also added some bakers twine from The Twinery on the bottom card. The typewriters were colored with Copics, cut out and mounted with foam dimensionals. I think this might be one of my most used layouts.

Hugs and Kisses

Have you started your Valentine's day cards? I picked up some cute valentine borders from K&Company and paired one of them up with some black dot tape from the Smash collection. I started with a kraft card base and stamped it with the XO from A Muse Studio's Fancy Alpha set using Versamark ink. Then I just added the strips of tape and XO borders to complete my card. The bottom row of XO's are mounted with foam dimensionals just for fun.

Espressly For You

Today's card features stamps from Pink By Design. The adorable cups are from the Make it a Venti set and the sentiment is from the Perk Up set. I stamped the cups on PTI Rustic Cream cardstock and then again on paper from My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose collection and paper pieced the cups. The outline on the card was drawn using the Choc Chip marker from Stampin Up and I used the smallest scallop border die from A Muse Studio on the strip across the bottom of the card. The sentiment was stamped with Memento ink and the cups were mounted with foam dimensionals.

Thanks so much for stopping by on this lovely Monday. Happy Stamping!

Congratulations on your new home

I put this card together for the Hero Arts December sketch challenge. I stamped the Row of Houses with chalk ink, cut out three of the houses and mounted them on the card with foam dimensionals. The sentiment is from A Muse Studio and the papers are from October Afternoon.

Matching Socks

Have you seen the adorable Matching Socks stamp from Unity?! I just love it and thought it would be fun to use one of the socks from the stamp to create Christmas stockings. I stamped the socks on patterned paper and fussy cut them to mount them on a die cut oval with foam dimensionals. The oval was also mounted to the card with foam dimensionals along with the sentiment tag. For the finishing touch, I wrapped some twine around the card and made a bow. The papers are from a recollections paper pad from Michaels and the scallop border was made with the smallest die in the A Muse Studio scallop border dies.

I know this is my second post of the day but I wanted to add this card to the Unity Friends with Flair post found here. Thanks so much for stopping. I hope you're having a great Friday. Happy Stamping!

Butterfly Pin

Today's card doesn't have much stamping. Just a simple little tag with "friend" stamped on it, otherwise I focused on the patterned paper (Capella by Basic Grey). I die cut a butterfly out of felt with the A Muse Studio butterfly die and added a broken piece of jewelry that I had in my stash to the center. Finally I added some lace and cotton floss.

Thanks so much for stopping. I hope your week is off to a great start. Happy Stamping!

Birthday Wishes

Just a quick post on this very chilly Friday. It is only 10 degrees here this morning with a high today of 27. I guess it should be expected since it is now December but we've been pretty spoiled with nice temps this fall. Anyway, on to today's card which features stamps and dies from a.muse|studio and papers from Basic Grey's Sweet Threads collection along with some vintage lace and twine from The Twinery. I also used the label die from Papertrey Ink to layer the a.muse|studio die.

Thanks so much for stopping. I hope you're all having a fabulous Friday. Happy Stamping!

Happy Thanksgiving

Wishing all of you celebrating Thanksgiving today a wonderful day with friends and family. Hopefully you're not stressing out about the food and are able to enjoy the day. Unfortunately I don't have a Thanksgiving card to share with you today but I do have a couple of Christmas cards to share.

My daughter recently found this stamp set for $1.99 at TJMaxx and bought it for me. I had to ink it up as soon as she brought it home. I paired it with papers from the Jovial collection from Basic Grey. The 12x12 papers are double sided so by using this simple layout I was able to make 5 cards from one sheet of designer paper plus a matching scrap of My Mind's Eye paper for the circle borders around the sentiment. The snowman stamp and snowflake are from Inkadinkado and the sentiment is from Memory Box. For fun, I added some A Muse Studio glitter to some of the circles around the snowman image.

Thanks so much for stopping. Happy Thanksgiving!
