No cards to post

Sorry I haven't posted any cards this week but we've been busy getting ready for our daughter's grad party this weekend. We're renting a tent and tables and chairs so the yard had to be spruced up before the big event. Here's some of what we've been doing.

We removed the snow on the mountain from the side garden, moved some of the perennials around and planted additional ones. I also added the wooden skunk that I found at a sale.

The playhouse in the backyard got a new coat of paint, trim, flashing, and a window box. My grandfather made this for my aunt when she was a little girl and then it went to my parents house when I was little and my girlfriends and I spent many a day/night in this little house. So many memories.

Tigger was a great help. He was in charge of guarding the weigela bush in the front yard. Once the grad party is over I should have more time for stamping and am looking forward to getting back to posting regularly. Thanks so much for stopping. I hope you're all having a wonderful week.

For the Men in your Lives

Today I have a couple of masculine cards to share. The first card uses the Jim playing golf image from DigiStamp Boutique and the second card uses the DIY Jim image. DigiStamp Boutique offers a whole series of Jim images available here and here.

My husband is a golfer so this image was perfect for his birthday card. The card base is Kraft with a mat of Bo Bunny polka dot paper and a strip of Kraft. The image was colored with Copics and matted with a nice warm brown to match the polka dots.

For the second card I pulled out a sheet of Elsie double sided paper. Instead of stamping a greeting I used my Dymo label maker to create one. The edges of the lined panel were sponged with Palette Hybrid New Canvas ink. The image was colored with copics and matted on black.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you are all having a wonderful week!

CSS Sneak Peek II

Day 2 of the Sneak Peeks for the We've Moved set which will release on June 15th as part of Clear and Simple Stamps "At Home" Collection. I'd like to share another card using the house image that I love so much and the great "There's no place like home" sentiment.

The card base is Kraft with a mat of Chocolate Chip and Fancy Pants Pink Forest designer paper. The house and sentiment were stamped with Brown Stazon on Kraft and colored with Copics to match the designer paper. I ran my tracing wheel around the edge of the image panel for a faux stitch look, matted it on Chocolate Chip and mounted it to the base with pop dots.

Kim has posted another We've Moved Sneak Peek on her blog {Basement Stamper} so be sure to stop and check it out.

Clear and Simple Stampes Sneak Peek

Clear and Simple Stamps will be releasing their "At Home" Collection on June 15th. How about a sneak peek of the We've Moved set. I love the house image in the set and all the many great sentiments.
For this card I stamped the house image with Timber Brown Stazon on vanilla cardstock then colored it with Copics. The edges were distressed and inked with Vintage Photo Distress ink. The card base is vanilla with a layer of chocolate chip and some patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket. The dry embossed the brown panel on the side with a diamond pattern using my scor-pal. For the finishing touch I added a prima flower and button to the sentiment flag.

Blog Hope for a Cure

Welcome to CSS's blog hop!!!

If this is your first stop on the Clear and Simple Stamps Blog Hop, please go to the CSS blog and start your hop from the beginning. You don't want to miss anything and you certainly will if you don't hop on over there. If you have hopped to my page from Sue's blog than you are in the right spot.

Clear and Simple Stamps created some fun limited edition sets for this cause and here are my projects using these great little sets.

Love this quote from Winston Churchill.

I made a set of pins with the 2x2 Awareness set.

This is an 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch layout. I thought if would be a nice simple layout great for adding photos from the next "Walk for the cure" event.

BLOG CANDY:
PRIZE PART 1
In order to win you will need to create an ATC, Tag or Card Candy project using our Crop for the Cure Digi Papers. Then leave me a link to your creation in the comment section of this post. You can use other stamp sets to go along with the papers, but the main focus should be on how creatively you can showcase the Digi Papers. The papers are 4x4 in size and include 4 different patterns.

Here's another link to the Crop for the Cure Digi Papers:
http://www.clearandsimplestamps.com/digipaper/spring_cfc09.pdf

PRIZE PART 2
You can upload your creations to Splitcoast or Paper Craft Planet by 9PM Sunday, June 7th using tag: CSSFTC09. We will then select our favorite design to win the new Awareness Darling stamp set and a surprise pack of embellishments.

The difference between the two you might ask....the 2x2's are a limited edition and will only be available to those who participated in the Crop for the Cure. The Awareness Darling, however, will be available for purchase on the CSS website and is a prize valued at $15.00.

Now you need to hop on over to Nicole's wonderful blog to see some more CSS Eye Candy!! And don't forget to enter the Blog Candy!!

Time for another "Take the Challenge Tuesday"

Clear and Simple Stamps June Take the Challenge Tuesday is happening on PaperCraftPlanet today. Discover your masculine side this month. Many of us stampers tend to lean more toward making cards and projects that are typically feminine, so for this month's challenge let's go masculine. This is my kind of challenge. I love making masculine cards.

For my card I pulled out the Foursome and Golf Darling sets and got to work. The image is from the Foursome set and the sentiment is from the Golf Darling set. These two sets work really well together.Visit us on the Clear and Simple Stamps Group on PCP to play along and remember if you're loading your project to an online gallery, use the tag: TTC06.

On a side note my daughter's high school commencement ceremony is this evening. It's a little bittersweet. Her last day of school was this past Friday so I took her picture as a semi joke. I have the "First day of school" photo from Kindergarten and thought a "Last day of school" photo would be fun to have. I snapped this of her before she ran out the door. I'm excited for her but also a little sad. It's hard to believe my child is old enough to be graduating. I'll be sure to check my supply of tissues before going to the ceremony. Then I can concentrate on organizing her graduation party since she finally agreed to have one.

Happy Graduation Hope! Wishing you nothing but the best!
