Today's card is for my Daughter. I was planning to make some Valentines when she called to tell me about a bad day she was having so I made this as a little pick me up for her. The card will be accompanied by a box of chocolates. Hopefully it will bring a smile to her face.
I used Life Stories papers from My Mind's Eye and Kim Hughes Hugs and Kisses set from Cornish Heritage Farms. I added some glitter to the hearts and chocolate bon bon for fun. The chocolate is also mounted with pop dots for some added dimension. The finishing touch is a twine bow from Papertrey.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you're all have a wonderful Wednesday! Happy Stamping.

Birthday Card
How about a birthday card for a chef. I've always loved this Cornish Heritage Farms set by Kim Hughes so I inked it up. I even added some cake slices to the inside of the card.
Thanks for stopping. Happy Wednesday!

What a beautiful day!
The sun has been shining all day today and it even reached 50 degrees. Spring might finally be ready to visit Northern Minnesota. For my cards today I used the K & Company Citronella pack. I'm really enjoying the bright fun patterns in this pack. On the first card I used the Pretty Birds set by Kim Hughes from Cornish Heritage Farms.
On the second card I pulled out Anna Wight's Posies for you set from Whipper Snapper. I used markers on the stamp and then colored the images in with an aqua brush. The pink floral paper in the background is glittery so I added some stickles to the posie to match.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you're all having a great week!

Another Anniversary
Otherwise the supplies and details of the card are basically the same as the previous post.
Marching to his own beat
Are any of you fans of The Amazing Race? I just love that show and last night had me in tears with laughter. In the previews for the show I saw some VERY HUMOUROUS marching going on and I thought it was just one of the contestants having fun but that was really his attempt at marching. Here's a clip from the show -
Now is that entertaining or what?! You gotta love those boys.
Ok, back to stamping. I needed some anniversary cards so I pulled out the K & Co Ancestry papers that I bought at Gina K's store and the Kim Hughes Silhouette Blooms I set from Cornish Heritage Farms.
The flower was stamped in SU Soft Sky on Very Vanilla then the edges were lightly sponged with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. The Walnut Stain was also used to stamp the Happy Anniversary from Stampendous and ink the edges of the tag.

Bring on the cupcakes
Did you see Julia Stainton's Sweetie Pie card? It inspired me to make this cupcake card. I stamped the cupcakes on SU Very Vanilla with Archival ink and colored them with Copics. Next I ran some Cosmo Cricket paper through my cuttlebug with my new Nesties (Labels 1). I mounted the cupcakes to the label with pop dots and then added glossy accents to the frosting portion of the cupcakes and sprinkled them with glitter.Next I made a vanilla card base and added some layers of Cosmo Cricket papers with a strip of SU designer paper. I added a strip of lace that I found at a garage sale this summer and used my Dymo label maker (also found at a garage sale) to make the tag.
I always get a little sad when rummage sale season comes to an end but I think it helps me appreciate it more when spring rolls around and it's time to go bargain hunting again. The temperature is 12 right now so it's definitely not rummage sale weather. The high for today is only 31 but on the up side, the ground is frozen enough that the dogs aren't muddy every time they go outside. Yeah!
Supplies:- Stamp - Baked with Love by Kim Hughes from Cornish Heritage Farms
- Ink - Archival
- Paper - SU Vanilla, DP pack (hostess), Cosmo Cricket
- Misc - Nesties, Lace, Glitter, Glossy accents, Pop dots, Dymo label maker

More Nature's Silhouettes
I pulled out my Kim Hughes Nature's Silhouettes set from Cornish Heritage Farms and put this card together. The base of the card is some brown cardstock from my lss. The patterned background paper is from My Mind's Eye. The two shades of pink paper and the brown strip are from bazzill. I can't remember now what ink I used for the friend and flower but the flowers also have gold pearlized dimensional paint added to the centers for some extra detail. I also added some stitching to the layers for more detail then added the ribbon to the bottom of the flower panel and mounted it with dimensionals. Thanks again for stopping by to see my latest creation.

Can't Resist Cornish Heritage Farms
I had to try this resist technique with the new Kim Hughes "Nature's Silhouettes" set from Cornish Heritage Farms. I started with a piece of glossy cardstock and stamped Hero Arts wallpaper background with Stampin Up River Rock and let it dry.
Next I inked up the tall leaf stamp with Ranger Clear Resist and stamped it on the glossy paper. I used a heat tool on it to make sure it was dry before moving on to the next step.
The third step was to brayer Stampin Up True Thyme over the entire piece. The ink doesn't stick to the leaf stamp because of the resist pad so the leaf stamp really jumps out. The key to make this ink pad work is to use glossy paper! I've tried it with non-glossy paper and it just doesn't work. I really like how the background stamp still shows through the true thyme but doesn't detract from the large leaf stamp.
Finally I wanted to stamp a greeting on my image so I pulled out my Timber Brown Stazon pad and a retired greeting from Stampin Up. The stazon ink will stamp over the resist image.
The finished card.
As always, thanks for stopping. I hope you all have a great week.
