Trick-or-Treat

Here's what you can expect if you stop by our house tonight to Trick-or-Treat.

I put together little treat boxes with assorted chocolates. The die for the favor box is from Clear and Simple Stamps, the papers are from Authentique's Glowing collection and the stamps are from Whipper Snapper - Anna Wight's cling set Spooky Expressions. I added googly eyes to the little bats for some added fun.

I put each one in a clear bag and stapled the top closed in hopes that they would stay together until the trick or treaters get them home.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Halloween!

Ready for Halloween

Today I'd like to share some photos of my front porch all decked out for Halloween.

Here's the before photo. It's looking pretty sad out here but I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on pumpkins like we do most years so I started looking at what we already had.
Here's what it looked like after I pulled out some pieces from my stash and sewed a boo banner.

The pumpkins are all the light up foam ones with faces that we've had for awhile. For the large two, I just tucked the cords into the mouths and turned them around

We bought the bone lights on clearance several years ago but they're still a favorite. I made a burlap BOO banner and attached it to the screen from our old back door.

I found the wicker chair at a sale this summer. The platter came from a sale a couple of years ago and this summer I gave it a coat of chalkboard paint. The sign is something we've had for years and I sewed the pillow case and tied it closed with twine and some orange tulle. I just rolled up an old beach towel for the pillow stuffing. Since our front porch is not covered and I was pretty sure the pillow would get wet at some point, I figured it would be easier to launder the towel "stuffing" rather than actual stuffing.

Here it is at night with the lights on. I love Halloween!

Thanks for stopping. I hope you're having a great day.

Spooky Greetings

I found this adorable stamp set on our way home from Ohio back in August and pulled out my Copics and some papers from October Afternoon's Witch Hazel 8x8 pad to put together a card. The stamp set is Bootiful Halloween by Darcie's.

Happy Halloween Week!

Witches Broom

I pulled out some twine and a toothpick and made a little witches broom for this card. I kept it simple so the focus would be on the broom.

Happy Halloween!

Christmas Words

Paper Smooches recently released a Christmas Words Die that I just had to have. Here's my first card using the new die. I left the die intact and ran it through my Cuttlebug twice in order to cover the card front. I stitched the kraft piece to a rustic white card base and then I used some October Afternoon paper to die cut the Merry Christmas sentiment.

Just a nice simple card but I really like the end results. I hope you're all having a wonderful Wednesday. Thanks for stopping.
