Today I'd like to share a card using the Moments in Blooom set from Unity for the Unity Friends with Flair. Every Friday, Unity asks you to link up your Unity creations and I'm happy to be able to participate this week.
I stamped the ledger stamp with Distress Ink for the background and then I colored the flower stamp with Stampin Up markers to stamp. I also added a little white gel pen accents to the flowers after I stamped them. The designer paper strip is from My Mind's Eye, button from PTI and twine from May Arts.
Thanks so much for stopping. I hope you're having a fabulous Friday. Happy Stamping!

Happy Day
Today I have a birthday card to share with you. This card was inspired by Debbie Olson's card found on her blog Thinking and Inking here. I used papers from the Indie Chic - Saffron collection by My Mind's Eye and some vintage sheet music. I die cut the sheet music with a Labels 4 die from Spellbinders. The sentiment panel is from Papertrey Ink's Happy Day set and matching die. I used Memento Lilac Posies and Elderberry inks for the sentiment. I also added some stitching, sequins, twine and a little flower to the bottom of the sentiment.
Here's a closer look at the details.
Thanks so much for stopping. I hope you're having a great day. Happy Stamping!

Grumpasaurus
Last Friday I bought some Authentique Loyal papers and spent some time yesterday putting together card layouts. I like to put several basic layouts together to get me started and then as I have time I can go back and add the finishing details. For this card I started with the plaid mat and blue mat with the thin light blue stripe. I stamped the Paper Smooches sentiment and added the polka dot circle, green "grass" strip and the trees and dino. Finally I add a white mat and mounted it to a kraft card base.
Here's a close up of the paper pieced dino and trees. I love this Cuteasaurus stamp set from Paper Smooches.

Hey Stud
Unity Stamp Co is running a Happy Hour sale all weekend so I thought I would share a card today using one of the stamps that is on sale. Details for the sale can be found on their site.
I love this stamp from Unity and it's on SALE right now for $3 (reg $6.99). Here's the link - Hey Stud {Itty Bitty} if you're interested.
I paired the stamped image with paper from My Mind's Eye Indie Chic - Nutmeg - Family - Zig zag. I stamped the image on vintage cream cardstock from PTI using Stampin Up Soft Suede ink. I also added a mat of Soft Suede cardstock to the card base. The button is from October Afternoon and the twine is from May Arts. Just a simple masculine card.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you're having a fantastic Friday. Happy Stamping!

Moxie Fab World Challenge: I've a Notion
Today I have a card to share that was inspired by the photo below. The photo was posted as the Tuesday Trigger on the Moxie Fab World blog. You can find all the details on the challenge there.
What I loved about this photo were all the different types of trims (satin, lace, rick rack, floss, cord) so I worked several trims into my card. I went with floss on the tag and some vintage crocheted trim, a satin pleated ribbon and seam binding across the front of the card. I also kept with the soft color palette for my card.
The papers are from My Mind's Eye In Bloom 6x6 pad and the images are from Paper Smooches Reflections set. Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday. Happy Stamping!

Another Valentine
I have another Valentine to share with you today. This one uses a heart trim piece from a package of K&Company borders that I found in my stash. I also used papers from the Carta Bella Devoted 6x6 pad and a sentiment from Paper Smooches Good Gab set. To add some texture to the card I ran the blue strip of paper through my paper crimper and then mounted the heart strip on top. I also added some lace, mini pom pom trim and burlap string and finally a red gemstone.
Here's a closeup to show the crimped piece and the trims.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you're having a terrific Tuesday. Happy Stamping!

The Paper Hoarders Push Challenge #1: Carta Bella Devoted
Welcome to the first challenge of The Paper Hoarders Push. My friend Kim Howard
& I have challenged each other in the past to use some of the common paper pads that we have and this time we thought it would be fun to challenge anyone with the Carta Bella Devoted papers to join us.
I try to use up the entire pad during these challenges but I fell short
this time. I still have several sheets of paper in my pad that I'll have
to work into non Valentine cards. :) I do have a few cards to share with you today. I hope you're in the mood for Valentine's. And if you have the Devoted pad from Carta Bella and would like to be included, leave me a comment below and I will link to your blog post.
Ok, are you ready for my cards?
I thought the Woofers and Tweeters set from Paper Smooches would make a cute Valentine too.
I used a Cuttlebug alphabet set for the XO on this card. I also added some May Arts burlap string and pearls/gems.
The sentiment circle was created with Paper Smooches stamps and the cute little deer image is from the $1 bin at Michael's.
I liked the little deer image so much that I created several cards using it. If you're friends with me on Facebook, you may have already seen this one. I thought the little deer image was so cute I have to share it right away. I went with the chalkboard technique for this card. I stamped the image and heat embossed it, then added some detail with a white pencil and stamped swirls using white pigment ink.
And another deer card. I added some paper tickets and a flower gemstone to this one for fun.
Finally, I have a little mini card. I used the Paper Smooches Chubby Chums set for this card. I colored the kitty with Copics and added a little heart covered in glitter.
Well, that's it for me today. I hope you enjoyed the challenge and don't forget to share a link if you have Carta Bella Devoted creations that you would like us to check out. Now I'm off to see what Kim has done with our challenge. Please stop by her blog and check out her challenge post too.
I'm looking forward to this being a monthly challenge in hopes that I will use some of those 6x6 pads before buying more. ha ha
Happy Stamping!

Stamping with the Seniors
Last night I had the pleasure of stamping with residents at a local senior living facility. Eight ladies showed up to see what I had planned for them. Some were a little leary at first because they said they weren't crafting and didn't know anything about making cards but by the end were joking about staying all evening to make cards. What a fun group. Here are the two cards we made.
Also, let me give a special thank you to Teri, the Life Enrichment Director, for all her help during the class! I'm looking forward to going back and working on Easter cards.
Thanks for stopping. I hope you're having a great week. Happy Stamping!
