I made this card for the RBC10 (Rubbernecker Blogger Challenge) but then I forgot to upload it. So it's too late for the monthly drawing but I still wanted to share the card. It's 4 x 8 1/2. I started with a base of very vanilla and then cut a mat of Making Memories designer Kraft paper. Before added the mat to the card I sponged the edges with Distress Ink (tea dye). For the main image I colored directly on the Brushed Sunflowers Rubbernecker stamp with my SU Watercolor Wonder Crayons and then spritzed the stamp with a mini mister of water. I stamped the image on watercolor paper and cut it out. I used my nesties and marvy punches for the circle layers and ran the craft circle through my cuttlebug with the swiss dots embossing folder. I sponged the edges with more of the tea dye distress ink and also lightly over the embossed dots. The flowers were mounted with dimensionals and the ribbons were tied around the stems.
Here's a close up of the flowers
For the sentiment I stamped it in walnut stain Distress ink on more of the kraft paper, sponged the edges and mounted it on a layer of SU Chocolate chip. Finally I sewed a zigzag stitch with my Janome Sew Mini around the edge and mounted that to the base of the card. This was a really fun sketch to work with.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you're all having a fabulous week!
